Open Die Forging

Open die forging involves forming and shaping of metal parts by hammering and pressing. The cast ingot is first heated to its deformation temperature before getting hammered into the desired shape. This is an important technique for different manufacturing as it allows the shaping of most common metals like steel and steel alloys. Open Die Forging of Maple Machinery

Same as closed die forging, we have worked with two local open die forging plants in Ningbo to provide manufacturing services and technical support for us for a long time. In the casting industry, when some customers can not meet the requirements of parts by casting, or some parts structure is more suitable for forging, we will make process improvement plan and recommend customers to improve the manufacturing process. Up to now, we have helped customers to improve more than 50 casting projects into forgings; we have directly helped customers purchase forging raw parts and completed hundreds of projects in our machineshop.
